Here's everything else people ask. ## The product ### What is GhostOwl? GhostOwl sends real AI browser agents through your site's key journeys, like finding pricing or reaching checkout, and through up to three competitors' sites. The report shows where each agent gave up, what it told the person who sent it, and how you compare. ### How is this different from a free agent readiness checker? Free checkers read your files and markup: robots.txt, llms.txt, schema. GhostOwl sends agents to actually try the task. A site can pass every static check and still lose the agent to a cookie wall, a script-rendered price or a bot rule. We use static checks as one input, not as the result. ### Which agents does GhostOwl run? Three different agents run every journey: Stagehand, Browser Use and a frontier computer-use model. Each one gets three attempts, and one always runs as a cold-start cloud browser with no cookies, logins or history. The fidelity panel in every report names each agent and model version used. ### Do I need to install anything or sign up? No. Paste your URL and the scan starts. Add a work email while it runs and we send you the full free report. You need an account to re-run a scan, add competitors or buy a plan. ### How long does a scan take? A free scan runs one journey with three agents, three attempts each, and you watch the progress live. Most finish in a few minutes; slow or heavily protected sites take longer. ### What does the free scan include? One journey on your site against one competitor, once a week per domain. You get the Agent Readiness Score, a yes or no on whether each agent was blocked, the step where each agent gave up with its message to its owner, and one replay. Paid plans add the root cause, a fix kit and verification re-runs. ### Agent results vary run to run. How can I trust the score? That is why every journey runs with three agents and three attempts each. The report shows how many runs succeeded, not one lucky or unlucky run, and the fidelity panel lists the agents and model versions so you can compare like with like. ## Pricing ### What do paid plans add? Paid plans show why the agent failed and how to fix it: the exact rule, vendor or script that blocked it, the full ranked friction log, every replay with a step-by-step trace, a fix kit generated for your site, tickets with a Playwright repro, and re-runs that prove the fix worked. ### How much does GhostOwl cost? The scan is free. Starter is $59 a month, Monitor is $149 a month and includes the Developer plan, Agency is $99, $199 or $299 a month for 10, 30 or 60 sites, and Developer alone is $29 a month per repo. Enterprise is custom. ## Trust and safety ### Will GhostOwl submit forms or place orders on my site? Not unless you ask it to. Before any form or checkout journey runs on your own site, you verify that you own the domain, and we use a test mode so no real orders, emails or CRM records are created. ### Is it OK to scan my competitors? Competitor scans only visit public pages, the way a shopper would. Agents never submit forms, fill carts, create accounts or bypass consent banners on a site you don't own, and every request carries the GhostOwl user agent. ### How do I allowlist or block GhostOwl? Every request carries the GhostOwl user agent and a Signature-Agent header pointing at ghostowl.ai, so you can allowlist it in Cloudflare or your bot tool, or exclude it from analytics. To stop scans of your domain, email support@ghostowl.ai. ### What happens to my scan data? Your report is yours. We store anonymized findings, such as which bot-protection vendor blocked which agent, and only share them in aggregate. We never share one site’s results without its owner’s permission. ## Agencies ### Can I resell GhostOwl reports to my clients? Yes. The Agency plan includes white-label reports, prospect sweeps and five resellable audits a month. Clients you are not monitoring cost nothing. ### My clients will not install anything. Is that a problem? No. A GhostOwl report needs only URLs. Nothing goes on the client site, so you can run it on a prospect before the first call. ## SaaS ### We already pay for an AI visibility tool. Do we need this too? Visibility tools measure whether AI assistants mention you. GhostOwl measures what happens next: whether an agent can find your pricing, compare plans or start a trial once it lands on your site, and whether it picks you or a competitor. ## Ecommerce ### Isn't my ecommerce platform already handling AI agents? Platforms can expose your catalog, but agents still have to get through your theme, apps, popups and checkout changes. Those are what agents trip on, and they differ store to store. ## Developers ### Can I run GhostOwl from my editor or CI? Yes. The GhostOwl MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients run scans and read reports, and CI checks run journeys against preview URLs before you ship.
